A complimentary evaluation is the least we can do when you’ve finally made the decision to ask questions about your hearing.
A doctor of audiology will take you through the examination, step by step. At Hearing Doctors of Iowa we want you to feel that have been heard. Understanding your specific needs is crucial to developing the plan for your care, long term. Questions about your general health and ear history will be discussed. Hearing testing will be performed in the comfort and accuracy of a sound proof booth. Test results will be explained and then if you’re comfortable proceeding, we’ll discuss a treatment plan.
“My focus is on an educational approach to treating patients. If you understand how the ears work and how the treatment plan will ultimately help you, we can work together as a team to reach your goals.”Dr. Dimmick
At your first appointment you will be asked to fill out a simple form to give us general information like your address and how to reach you.
During the initial conversation and hearing test with Dr. Dimmick I was given a LOT of information which helped me make an informed decision about the hearing aid that would be best for me.
I really appreciated that process however, what was really wonderful was the amount of time and effort Dr. Dimmick spent AFTER the "sale" in making sure the hearing aids were tuned to specifically help me and my hearing loss characteristics.
The amount of time Dr. Dimmick has spent working to make these small changes has made a major impact on the effectiveness of my hearing aids and my speech comprehension. THIS is something unique to the industry and yet so valuable!
Highly recommended!Tom Guerdet
